Hiraya Studios is our commercial creative studio, a working space for collaboration, learning and gathering. Hiraya, an ancient Filipino word, embodies our core philosophy – the transformation of aspirations into tangible realities. At its heart, Hiraya is about creating space for people and their ideas. It’s a place where stories are shaped with intention and where creatives are supported as whole humans.
The studio includes a full photography studio, a sound studio, green screen and seamless options and a shoot-ready kitchenette that functions as a small kitchen set for cooking and lifestyle content. There’s a conference table for collaboration and review, along with a cozy living area furnished with modern pieces. The space is flexible by design, able to support many kinds of creative work without forcing it into a single mold.
Hiraya sits in Unity Park, inside a refurbished mill once part of the Rubber Factory, in an area with deep roots in Bristol’s history. In the 19th century, this area was home to New Goree, one of the earliest Free African American + Indigenous communities in America, with its own homes, church, school and social life. Over time, industrial expansion and shifting economic forces changed the fabric of that neighborhood, but its presence and legacy remain part of the land and the stories that live here. I can't help but notice this town has forgotten this important part of its history.

Hiraya Creative Studios is not your average studio. It's a hub of learning and community engagement, educational workshops and community events intended to spark inspiration and growth. We host a calendar of gatherings designed to uplift, empower and educate - from hands-on creative skills workshops to informal potluck community gatherings and thought-provoking discussions, We offer a range of experiences designed to empower and enlighten.
